- double jogger strollers vs. regular double strollers?
Can someone please tell me the main differences between a jogger and a regular stroller? Thanks!

A Jogger: Most joggers have bicycle-type wheels that can (and do) go flat, so that you have to air them up.

This can happen at the worst of moments, but if a “jogger” is what you need/want, then that is something to be aware of.

Also, some joggers do not offer a reclining option for the seats, so that you have to wait until a baby is 6 months old (can sit up) to use it. Some joggers do not come w/ a very big basket, or at the least most do not come w/ a drink tray (parent or child). There may be a little drink holder thing on the side, but that’s about it.

Also, if you get one with one wheel in the front – beware if it doesn’t swivel you will have trouble doing turns. It’s necessary for a “stationary” wheel if you’re actually jogging, but if you’re using it at the mall – you want the front wheel to move.

They make swivel wheel joggers if you look for them. Regular stroller: Can be tandem (front and back) or side-by-side. (Typically joggers are just side-by-side). Will typically have the drink and snack trays for children, and a nice tray for mom to hold the drink(s) and cell phone.

Most of these are REALLY hard to maneuver once they’re filled w/ children and other items. We tested many of them out in the store (with our children in them) and found the Kolcraft Red double stroller (I think the “options” or something like that) – was one of the easiest to maneuver.

We ended up going w/ a Zooper Tango side-by-side. You can place an infant seat on either side (most any infant seat will do). It is tremendously easy to maneuver (#1 reason we bought it). It has lots of fancy things it does that most in the stores don’t do.

The only draw-back we have to it is that the canopy breaks easily – IF you or your child messes w/ it. We had to replace one and it was $45! If you are concerned, you could leave the canopies off (what we may do now). However, we did buy the 07 model off Craigslist (upwards of $200) – they are about $500 brand new. The 08 model may have fixed the canopy problem.

- baby trend velocity jogger stroller?

I am planning to buy a baby trend velocity jogger stroller to use with Graco snug ride infant seat. And then I noticed that it is recommended for six months or older babies. Can someone tell me if it is possible to use above setup for 2 months old?

I don’t plan on doing any type of jogging and go for a short stroll. Is this stroller not recommended for any other reason then you shouldn’t take your infant on jogging?

And I had a Baby trend, the Expedition, and it sucked. If you actually jog, it was awful!! Even when I was just walking it was bad. I am not sure about your model, but the one I had been horrible. The front wheel would shake so bad that I went and bought an Instep Ultra Runner. I love my new stroller. I jog and walk almost every day and it is wonderful. The Ultra Runner doesn’t have a front swivel wheel, but I don’t care.

With my Ultra Runner, there is an attachment they sell that can transform the stroller into one that you can place the infant car seat in it. You could try baby trends website and see if they have an attachment like this for your model or call and ask. I didn’t know this was possible until I opened my new box and saw a catalog with extras.

I would guess it is not recommended because a newborn is not secure enough and big enough in the actual seat and that is why it is recommended they be in their newborn car seat. I jogged with my daughter that young, but she was in her infant car seat in the jogging stroller. If it were me and I wasn’t doing any jogging, as long as my snug ride fit well I would use it. I would really make sure beforehand, but I would use it for light walking.
