Graco DuoGlider Double Stroller Essentials

The rear seat is higher than the front seat, which some parents find disadvantageous. This is because your view of the baby in the front seat is blocked by the rear seat. However, you will find the seating arrangement great once the twins are older. ere are other specifications of the Graco DuoGlider Double Stroller that you need to know:
Graco DuoGlider Classic Connect
  • Extra Weight – the Graco DuoGlider Double Stroller is a bit heavy at about thirty pounds. Thus you will find it rather hefty when you are lugging it around.
  • Easy Folding and Unfolding Feature – although the Graco DuoGlider Double Stroller is quite difficult to put into the trunk if you have a smaller vehicle, it can be folded and unfolded with just a snap of your wrist, which is a big bonus. You will not be frustrated in attempting to work levers and buttons just to open and fold your stroller. When you feel the click, you know that it is locked in the open position or ready to be collapsed down for storage.
  • Reasonable Price – the Graco DuoGlider Double Stroller is priced just right. A lot of other similar stroller brands are priced three times than the Graco model. Although they might be lighter and more compact, they will be heavier on your pocket.
  • More Convenient  Snapping the two baby carriers into the stroller is a breeze, which is something that other strollers do not have. This convenient feature compensates for the extra weight and bulk of the Graco double stroller.

If you need something more compact when closed compared to the Duo Glider, you might want to look at the GracoQuattro Tour Duo Double Stroller instead. This model is twenty percent smaller when folded compared to the Duo Glider. In addition, it also has a parent storage tray, which can keep your drinks and keys handy in its two cup holders. You can reach into the stroller without disturbing your sleeping infant through a drop down basket, which can be accessed easily.
If you just had a twin and needs an easy and easier transportation for them, the Graco DuoGlider Double Stroller would be a perfect choice. You may have to exert a little when pulling it off your trunk but the price of the stroller more than makes up for the extra effort.

In shopping for one, the best thing to do beforehand is research. See the baby strollers products personally and check it out if possible. See what users say about it and come up to a sound conclusion based on what you read, heard and seen.

Maclaren Umbrella Stroller

A Maclaren Umbrella Stroller can be very helpful for a mother and her baby. I want to share with you some important features that make it one of the best selection of an umbrella stroller and how useful my Maclaren Umbrella Stroller has been for me over the years.
Maclaren Umbrella Stroller
When I was pregnant for my son, who is 2 years now, my mother had told me that after a few weeks of the birth of baby, it would be hard carrying the baby as the baby will be become heavy. I thought over it seriously. Whenever I went out I started observing how most of the mothers carried their babies and found that an umbrella stroller was really something a mother with a small baby will need. I learnt that I can use this stroller when my baby will be 3 months old. I will not need the umbrella stroller for my newborn baby. I had plenty of time to select one of the best stroller for him.

However, there were several choices out there, so I decided on researching the best stroller that will meet my needs and keep the baby safe and comfortable. I went through various reviews on consumer research and other websites and also got most helpful feedback from my friends and family. I planned of having the next child after a gap of more than 2 years so decided on a single stroller.

I was impressed with Malaren Umbrellas Strollers that offered one of the best ranges of strollers. I have been using pink Malaren Quest Sport Umbrella stroller that is a bit expensive because of its quality and features, but it can meet the need of most people.

I have been using it almost on daily basis moving outside and travelling in my car without any problem. There were many color options, and decided on the pink. I have been using this stroller for my son, since he was 3 months, as recommended. I can use it until he hits 55 pounds and outgrows a travel system.

This Maclaren Umbrella Stroller has many features that provide comfort and convenience. The Quest Sport stroller is lightweight and easily transportable. I can easily pop it open, make it fold single handed and wrap it with the adjustable carry strap, climb upstairs with it on my shoulder.

My Maclaren Quest is fitted with dual lockable and swivel wheels with 5″ diameter. I have found it always to move smoothly. The wheels provide a great control as well as make strolling easy. Whenever I need to prevent it from rolling, I just press the foot operated parking brakes and it will not move itself or with a push. I am 5″ 6″ and my husband is 6′. Both of us find it comfortable to hold handlebars and push it without hunching or kicking on our backs.

And what more, you need a puffy, soft padded seat for the baby. I find my son feels always comfortable in this seat. I can easily secure him in the seat with the 5 point harness system on the Quest Sport Maclaren Umbrella Stroller for safety. I remove the seat easily and wash it regularly. The Quest has ergonomically designed foam grip handles set at one height make my kid sit more comfortably.

It has a mechanical reclining seat and I can adjust it in 4 position s to make my child sit more comfortable. In addition there is an extendable leg rest where the baby can rest the legs for support and does not fell tired.

It has some other ad-ons to my advantage. There is a canopy and a rain cover to save the child from the sun and rain. I use the small basket for keeping some kid stuff or as a shopping basket. I am told that Maclaren Umbrella Strollers are phthalate lead free and so child safe. My Quest Sport is covered with a lifetime warranty and I can still use it for my next baby.

I am happy with the Quest Sport Maclaren Umbrella Stroller and recommend it to you, if you are looking for an umbrella stroller that is light, compact and even easy to lug.

- double jogger strollers vs. regular double strollers?
Can someone please tell me the main differences between a jogger and a regular stroller? Thanks!

A Jogger: Most joggers have bicycle-type wheels that can (and do) go flat, so that you have to air them up.

This can happen at the worst of moments, but if a “jogger” is what you need/want, then that is something to be aware of.

Also, some joggers do not offer a reclining option for the seats, so that you have to wait until a baby is 6 months old (can sit up) to use it. Some joggers do not come w/ a very big basket, or at the least most do not come w/ a drink tray (parent or child). There may be a little drink holder thing on the side, but that’s about it.

Also, if you get one with one wheel in the front – beware if it doesn’t swivel you will have trouble doing turns. It’s necessary for a “stationary” wheel if you’re actually jogging, but if you’re using it at the mall – you want the front wheel to move.

They make swivel wheel joggers if you look for them. Regular stroller: Can be tandem (front and back) or side-by-side. (Typically joggers are just side-by-side). Will typically have the drink and snack trays for children, and a nice tray for mom to hold the drink(s) and cell phone.

Most of these are REALLY hard to maneuver once they’re filled w/ children and other items. We tested many of them out in the store (with our children in them) and found the Kolcraft Red double stroller (I think the “options” or something like that) – was one of the easiest to maneuver.

We ended up going w/ a Zooper Tango side-by-side. You can place an infant seat on either side (most any infant seat will do). It is tremendously easy to maneuver (#1 reason we bought it). It has lots of fancy things it does that most in the stores don’t do.

The only draw-back we have to it is that the canopy breaks easily – IF you or your child messes w/ it. We had to replace one and it was $45! If you are concerned, you could leave the canopies off (what we may do now). However, we did buy the 07 model off Craigslist (upwards of $200) – they are about $500 brand new. The 08 model may have fixed the canopy problem.

- baby trend velocity jogger stroller?

I am planning to buy a baby trend velocity jogger stroller to use with Graco snug ride infant seat. And then I noticed that it is recommended for six months or older babies. Can someone tell me if it is possible to use above setup for 2 months old?

I don’t plan on doing any type of jogging and go for a short stroll. Is this stroller not recommended for any other reason then you shouldn’t take your infant on jogging?

And I had a Baby trend, the Expedition, and it sucked. If you actually jog, it was awful!! Even when I was just walking it was bad. I am not sure about your model, but the one I had been horrible. The front wheel would shake so bad that I went and bought an Instep Ultra Runner. I love my new stroller. I jog and walk almost every day and it is wonderful. The Ultra Runner doesn’t have a front swivel wheel, but I don’t care.

With my Ultra Runner, there is an attachment they sell that can transform the stroller into one that you can place the infant car seat in it. You could try baby trends website and see if they have an attachment like this for your model or call and ask. I didn’t know this was possible until I opened my new box and saw a catalog with extras.

I would guess it is not recommended because a newborn is not secure enough and big enough in the actual seat and that is why it is recommended they be in their newborn car seat. I jogged with my daughter that young, but she was in her infant car seat in the jogging stroller. If it were me and I wasn’t doing any jogging, as long as my snug ride fit well I would use it. I would really make sure beforehand, but I would use it for light walking.
